Overlooking the beach on the west coast of Barbados, our client bought this duplex apartment as new with floors, bathrooms and kitchen already included and installed.

Initial meetings with the client both in the UK and on the island enabled an understanding of the brief, namely to draw inspiration from the colonial feel of the building and the rich colourful colours of the landscape. The rattan furniture was designed specifically to suit the rooms using different weaves and designs to mirror the balcony railings, whilst the fabrics gave a splash of colour to bring the wonderful tropical environment from outside to in.

Sourcing furniture on the island was difficult and therefore almost everything was shipped by container from the UK. We flew out to meet the shipment and set up and install everything. We also handled all the customs requirements, import duties and shipping.
